Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) form a legally binding agreement between you and Brick Labs LLC (“Brick Labs,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) governing your access to and use of the Hangre mobile application (the “App”) and any related services. By downloading, installing, accessing, or using Hangre, you confirm that you are at least 13 years old (or the applicable age of digital consent in your jurisdiction), that you have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms, and that you agree to be bound by them. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

Hangre is a mobile application that uses artificial intelligence to identify ingredients from photos of your kitchen and to generate recipe suggestions based on what you have on hand. The App is provided “as is” and may be updated, modified, or discontinued at any time. Features and content may vary based on your subscription tier, your device, and the availability of third-party services we rely on.

You may be required to create an account to use certain features of the App. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You agree to provide accurate and current information when creating an account, and to update it as needed. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or engage in fraudulent or abusive conduct.

Hangre offers paid subscriptions through Apple’s App Store, including weekly and annual plans, sometimes with an introductory free trial. By starting a subscription, you authorize Apple to charge your Apple ID account at the price and frequency disclosed at the point of purchase.

You agree not to: (a) use Hangre for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable law; (b) reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the App; (c) interfere with or disrupt the App’s servers, infrastructure, or third-party services it depends on; (d) use automated means to access, scrape, or harvest content from the App; (e) submit photos that contain unlawful, harmful, infringing, or sexually explicit content; (f) impersonate any person or misrepresent your affiliation with any person or entity; or (g) use the App to develop a competing product or service.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access for any violation of these terms.

The Hangre name, logo, App design, source code, copy, images, branding, and all other materials provided through the App are owned by Brick Labs LLC and protected by United States and international intellectual property laws. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the App for personal, non-commercial use, subject to these Terms. All rights not expressly granted are reserved.

The recipes, instructions, and content generated by the App are provided for your personal use. You may share individual recipes with friends and family for personal purposes, but you may not republish, syndicate, or commercialize the content without our written permission.

Hangre uses artificial intelligence to generate recipe suggestions, cooking instructions, ingredient identifications, and related content. AI-generated content can contain inaccuracies, omissions, or unexpected results.

You are solely responsible for:

1. reviewing all recipes and ingredients for safety, allergens, and suitability before cooking or consuming;
2. verifying cooking temperatures, times, and food-safety practices, particularly for meat, poultry, seafood, and eggs;
3. ensuring that none of the suggested ingredients trigger allergies, dietary restrictions, or medical conditions for you or anyone you serve;
4. using common sense and your own judgment when interpreting AI-generated cooking instructions.

Hangre is not a substitute for professional culinary, nutritional, or medical advice. We make no warranty that AI-generated recipes will produce safe, palatable, or nutritionally complete results. Use the App at your own risk.

THE APP IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, OR ACCURACY OF AI-GENERATED OUTPUT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE APP WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR FREE OF VIRUSES OR OTHER HARMFUL COMPONENTS. SOME JURISDICTIONS DO NOT ALLOW THE EXCLUSION OF IMPLIED WARRANTIES, SO SOME OF THE ABOVE EXCLUSIONS MAY NOT APPLY TO YOU.

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, BRICK LABS LLC AND ITS OFFICERS, MEMBERS, EMPLOYEES, AND AGENTS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, SPECIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION DAMAGES FOR LOST PROFITS, LOST DATA, BUSINESS INTERRUPTION, OR FOOD-RELATED ILLNESS OR INJURY ARISING FROM RELIANCE ON AI-GENERATED RECIPES OR INSTRUCTIONS, EVEN IF WE HAVE BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES. IN ANY EVENT, OUR TOTAL CUMULATIVE LIABILITY ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO THESE TERMS OR THE APP WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE TWELVE MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM, OR (B) FIFTY U.S. DOLLARS ($50).

SOME JURISDICTIONS DO NOT ALLOW THE LIMITATION OR EXCLUSION OF CERTAIN DAMAGES, SO SOME OF THE ABOVE LIMITATIONS MAY NOT APPLY TO YOU.

We may suspend or terminate your access to the App at any time, with or without notice, for any reason, including but not limited to a violation of these Terms. You may stop using the App at any time. Upon termination, the provisions of these Terms that by their nature should survive (including intellectual property, disclaimers, limitations of liability, and governing law) will continue to apply.

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Michigan, United States, without regard to its conflict of laws principles. Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the App shall be resolved exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Oakland County, Michigan, and you consent to the personal jurisdiction of those courts.
